Panorama Bałtyku z balkonu Apartamentu Zdrojowego 323 w Jastarni - wschód słońca nad mierzeją

Hel Peninsula · base for exploring

Discover Jastarnia and around

Guides, places and day-trip ideas - all in one place

35 km of sandbar · 5 villages · 50 m to the beach

The apartment sits in Jastarnia - exactly in the middle of the 35-kilometre Hel Sandbar, the strip of land that separates the Baltic from the Gulf of Puck. The sea is visible from the balcony; the beach is a 50-metre walk, the train station a 15-minute one. From here the entire coast from Władysławowo to Hel is reachable by train, car, bicycle or on foot. The Tricity is 1 hour 40 minutes by car, faster by SKM commuter rail from Gdynia Główna. This guide shows what's actually worth seeing from a base at Hotel Dom Zdrojowy - without the "attractions" no local would bother with.

50 metres to the beach. 15 minutes on foot to the pier.

Jastarnia is the Hel Peninsula at its purest: fine "squeaky" sand, pine forests and a microclimate that has drawn visitors for a century.
