3-city marathon · 100 km from Jastarnia
Tricity in one day from Apartament Zdrojowy 323
Speedrun Gdańsk + Sopot + Gdynia in 13 hours, door to door. Departure from Jastarnia at 7:30, return before 21:00. Gdańsk Old Town with Długi Targ (2.5h), Sopot pier and Crooked House (2h), Gdynia Skwer Kościuszki with Dar Pomorza (2h) - SKM Trójmiasto train between cities in 12-25 min. A clockwork plan, intensive, but achievable - we recommend the train option to skip parking stress in Gdańsk and S6 jam waits.
Getting there from Jastarnia
Mixed route: car or train (recommended for the marathon). By car = 1h 50 min Jastarnia → Forum Gdańsk, parking ~30 PLN, SKM between cities (4 rides ~24 PLN), pickup before return. Polregio Jastarnia → Gdańsk Główny ~1h 45 min, then SKM Trójmiasto only - much simpler for a 3-city day. Bus is out - too many transfers.
- 100 km from Apartament Zdrojowy 323
- By car: about 110 min
- By train (Polregio / SKM): about 105 min
Wariant pociągiem - rekomendowany dla maraton
Maraton 3 miast w 1 dzień naturalnie pasuje do SKM Trójmiasto - 12-25 min między miastami, znacznie szybsze niż auto z parkingiem przesiadanym. Polregio z Jastarni do Gdańska Głównego, dalej tylko SKM, powrót Polregio z Gdyni Głównej. Bez stresu z parkowaniem, bez powrotu do Gdańska po pickup auta - dzień krótszy o ~30 min vs auto.
From Jastarnia to Gdańsk Główny (marathon start)

- Arrival: ok. 09:30 Gdańsk Główny
- Travel time: ok. 2h (with transfer)
- Ticket: ok. 30-40 PLN / person one-way
After arrival at Gdańsk Główny - 10-min walk along ul. Heweliusza to the Golden Gate. No parking, no slot-hunting - the marathon starts straight in the heart of the Old Town. Then SKM Trójmiasto between the 3 cities (day ticket ~26 PLN or 4 separate ~24 PLN).
Return from Gdynia Główna to Jastarnia
- Recommended train: 18:30 from Gdynia Główna

Łączny koszt biletów (Polregio + 4× SKM + Polregio): ok. 90 zł / osoba.
Plusy wariantu pociągowego
- Marathon naturally fits SKM Trójmiasto - ~12-25 min between cities vs 30-50 min by car with parking
- No stress with parking in Gdańsk in peak season (July-August Forum fills up by 11:00)
- Train option saves ~30 min vs car (no return to Gdańsk for pickup)
- You can have wine / beer / cocktails in any of the 3 cities without alcohol-limit calculations
- SKM day ticket (~26 PLN) vs car (~110 PLN = parking + fuel + 4× SKM) - savings ~85 PLN / person
- Train time = micro-pause between cities, short regeneration on an intense day
Co warto wiedzieć
- Earlier start: 7:30 from Jastarnia vs 8:00 by car - hotel breakfast from 7:00 (request at check-in)
- Hard schedule: last sensible train 21:00 from Gdynia Główna - less flexibility if the plan slips
- 13-hour marathon = needs average fitness + time discipline (5-10 min per attraction at each stop)
- SKM runs every 7-10 min in season, but in rush hours (8-9 and 17-18) crowded - plan transfers with buffer
- Off-season (November-March): shorter days (sunset 16:30-17:00), Skwer Kościuszki without sun by 15:00 - consider skipping Gdynia and a 2-city day
- Mon = Dar Pomorza and ECS Gdańsk closed - move the marathon to another day or change the attractions

Along the way: the Town Hall, Artus Court, the right-side tenements. Turn into ul. Mariacka - amber stalls and stoops. Quick lunch: Pierogarnia Mandu

Hand-rolled pierogi with regional fillings (Cashubian potato and cheese, herring, forest mushroom) come fast and leave you fueled for the rest. Plan B: Targ Rybny or Bar Mleczny Neptun. Avoid Goldwasser (fine dining = too slow for speedrun). Takeaway on the way to SKM works best.
60 minCost: ok. 60-90 PLN / person - 513:30 - 15:30

SKM Sopot → Gdynia Główna (~12 min, ~6 PLN). 5-min walk from the station along ul. 10 Lutego to Skwer Kościuszki - Gdynia's tourist axis. Along the way: 1930s modernist architecture (ZUS tenements, Hala Targowa). Where to eat along the way
A pick of 3-5 spots tested by the apartment team - lunch mid-plan or a snack on the way back.
Pierogarnia Mandu
Hand-rolled pierogi with regional fillings in the heart of the Old Town - fast, filling lunch ideal for the marathon pace. No booking mid-week. Order takeaway if time presses - eat in the SKM to Sopot.
Bar Mleczny Neptun
Plan B for lunch in Gdańsk - the iconic milk bar on ul. Długa, traditional kitchen at pre-1989 prices. Pierogi, schnitzel, compote - all ready from the counter. Ideal if Pierogarnia has a queue.
Bar Przystań Sopot
If the plan has a little slack in Sopot (off-season, smaller crowds), Bar Przystań by the beach is an iconic spot for an early dinner - Baltic fish in 15 min. Seasonal queue in July-August.
Mercado Gdynia
Food market in central Gdynia at Skwer Kościuszki - dozen stalls under one roof (poke, sushi, Italian, burger). Ideal for a quick bite between the Skwer and Dar Pomorza if you're tired of main restaurants.
Czwarte Piętro (Jastarnia)
The Hotel Dom Zdrojowy restaurant in Jastarnia - waiting for you after the marathon. À la carte until 22:00, fresh Baltic fish, Cashubian kitchen, view of the Baltic from the windows. After 13 hours on the route - dinner at home is the most convenient option.
Practical tips
Best time to go
May-June or September are ideal: warm, long days (sunset after 20:30), smaller crowds. July-August = parking in Gdańsk a nightmare in peak season, we strongly recommend the train option. Mon = Dar Pomorza closed, ECS in Gdańsk too (skip both or change the plan to ORP Błyskawica + Boulevard walk). Open'er Festival Gdynia in July fills the city - hotel prices spike. The marathon needs 13 hours and at least average fitness - 12-15 km on foot plus 4 SKM legs.
What to pack
- The most comfortable shoes you have - 12-15 km on Tricity cobblestones
- Backpack (not handbag) for souvenirs + water bottle + snacks - cafés don't always fit the pace
- Rainproof jacket or umbrella - seaside weather is changeable, July may have afternoon storms
- Sunscreen + hat - Skwer Kościuszki in Gdynia and Sopot Pier with no shade in noon hours
- Powerbank - many photos + navigation + SKM tickets in the app drain the battery
- Card + min. 150 PLN cash - Sopot pier seasonal ticket and Dar Pomorza bought at the desk
- SKM Trójmiasto day ticket (~26 PLN) or 4 separate tickets (~24 PLN) - buy ahead via the SKM app
What to book ahead
- Polregio Jastarnia → Gdańsk Główny: ticket online (rozkladpkp.pl) or at the desk - check the schedule the day before; weekend in season seats can run out
- SKM Trójmiasto (between 3 cities): ticket on the platform / in the app - day ticket (~26 PLN) is worth it from the 4th ride
- Dar Pomorza: no booking, ticket at the entrance (Tue-Sun 10:00-18:00, Mon closed)
- Pierogarnia Mandu: no booking mid-week; weekend in season worth a same-day phone reservation
- Sopot Pier: seasonal ticket at the entrance kiosk, off-season free
- Czwarte Piętro restaurant in Jastarnia for the return: optional booking, in season evening worth it
