The Hel Peninsula is Poland's number one destination for kitesurfing and windsurfing - steady winds, the shallow Puck Bay for lessons, the open Baltic for advanced riders, and the country's highest concentration of licensed schools. Wind calendar
On the Hel Peninsula the wind blows most often from the west. The peak kitesurfing season is October and November in Chałupy - about 22 days a month of useful wind. Jurata and Kuźnica have a similar pattern, but Kuźnica is calmer - ideal for schools and beginners. July and August are the weakest wind months.
