How to reach Jastarnia from Gdańsk Airport (GDN)?
The nearest airport is Gdańsk-Rębiechowo (IATA: GDN), about 86 km from Jastarnia. Outside the peak season, driving takes roughly 1 hour 15 minutes via the S6 expressway and road DW216. In high summer (July–August) the journey onto the Hel Peninsula can take twice as long due to congestion on the single-carriageway DW216.
There is no direct public transport from the airport to Jastarnia. The most convenient option is a rental car or a private transfer. Alternatively: take the SKM commuter train to Gdańsk Główny or Gdynia Główna, then change to a POLREGIO regional train towards Hel.

How long is the train from Gdańsk or Gdynia to Jastarnia?
The Gdynia–Hel line is served mainly by POLREGIO regional trains (air-conditioned). In summer they run every 30–60 minutes; services are less frequent in winter. PKP Intercity (TLK) offers direct long-distance services from further afield, but at higher fares.
Jastarnia railway station is 600 metres from Dom Zdrojowy - a 15-minute walk. Bicycles can be taken on board for a small fee (limited spaces; booking in advance is recommended).

Can you reach Jastarnia by ferry?
In season (April–September) Żegluga Gdańska runs water services from Gdańsk and Gdynia to Hel. Ferries and catamarans operate daily at the peak of summer. From Hel to Jastarnia it is 12 minutes by train or about 25 minutes by bus.

How many kilometres to Jastarnia from Warsaw, Poznań and Berlin?
Jastarnia is reached via regional road DW216 - the only road onto the Hel Peninsula. In peak season (July–August, weekends) there are serious traffic jams on the Władysławowo–Hel section. Tip: leaving before 6:00 am or after 10:00 pm avoids the worst congestion.

DW216 on the Hel Peninsula is a single-carriageway road. In July and August the drive from Władysławowo to Jastarnia can add 1–2 hours. Plan ahead.
Are there buses to Jastarnia?
PKS Gdynia operates local bus services on the Hel Peninsula (route 669: Karwia - Władysławowo - Jastarnia - Jurata - Hel). There are no direct long-distance buses from Gdańsk to Jastarnia - the standard route is a train to Władysławowo, then a local bus.

How to get around Jastarnia and the surroundings?
30 km of paved cycle path along the sandbar. Rental available in Jastarnia (~40–60 PLN/day).
POLREGIO connects Jastarnia with Jurata (5 min), Hel (12 min) and Władysławowo (20 min).
From the fishing harbour (15 min on foot) boats head out for seal watching, seabird trips and cruises around the tip of the peninsula.
